Taiwan tests its first hydrogen-powered mini-train

The National Science and Technology Museum has successfully tested a mini-train using power generated by a hydrogen fuel-cell.

The train is the first of its kind in the world. It is part of the museum's efforts to promote environmental protection.

The mini-train is not only environmentally friendly, it is also safe, it makes little noise, and it does not have to be re-charged.

The former director of Academia Sinica, Lee Yuan-tze, took a test ride on Wednesday. He said that with a decrease in energy resources, it is important for scientists to develop renewable energy.
