Taiwanese chemist wins international honor

A Taiwanese chemist has won the 2007 Distinguished Young Chemist Award from the Federation of Asian Chemical Societies (FACS). Chen Yu-ji won the honor for her research in functional proteomic studies. She is an associate fellow at Academia Sinica's Institute of Chemistry, Taiwan's most prestigious research institute. Chen is scheduled to receive the honor in Kuala Lampur, Malaysia in August. The Distinguished Young Chemist Award is presented every year to a winner under 40 years old. |
