Taiwan's representative to Brazil, Chou Shu-yeh, is urging Taiwan's government and private enterprises to invest in Brazil's biomass energy sector.
Chou was speaking at a workshop on global investment and trade opportunities in Taipei on Tuesday.
Biomass is material derived from plants, animals and their by-products. Brazil began developing its biomass energy sector two decades ago and now has advanced technologies for producing bio-energy.
Chou said that the United States, Japan and South Korea have been investing in Brazil's bio-energy sector. He urged Taiwan to do the same before it is too late. |
