Taiwan’s southern port city of Kaohsiung has been awarded the right to host the 2020 Congress for the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA). The ICCA represents the world's leading suppliers in international meetings and events.

The convention will take place in Prague from November 12 to 15. The group has decided that Kaohsiung will play host to the 2020 convention. The city won against Japan’s Yokohama and Colombia’s Cartagena. The last time Taiwan hosted the convention was in 1992 in Taipei.

The ICCA is the top international organization for global conventions. It has over 1,000 members in almost 100 countries worldwide. It is the only association whose member companies specialize in hosting international events.
