A Taiwanese documentary has been selected for screening at a film exhibition held at the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) in New York.
“The Silent Teacher” is a documentary film directed by Taiwanese filmmaker Maso Chen. It will be shown at MOMA’s “Doc Fortnight 2018” exhibition on February 15. The exhibition is in its 17th year, and will also feature documentary films from countries including the United States, France, Mexico, and Peru.
“The Silent Teacher” examines the meaning of death through interaction between medical students who dissect cadavers and the relatives of those who have donated their bodies to science.
Lee Meng-chin, the film’s producer, says that the film has received accolades from audiences during previous screenings in Canada and the UK.
