Air Force shows anti-aircraft capabilities on Facebook

2018-05-16
The ROC Air Force has released a short video to showcase its anti-air defense capabilities. The ROC or Republic of China is Taiwan’s official name.

In a video posted on the Air Force’s Facebook page, officers and airmen perform a series of coordinated actions to demonstrate Taiwan’s counter-air defenses. These include communication, preparation and the eventual launching of anti-air missiles from the ground and from mobile launch platforms.

The video was released on Friday last week, after Chinese fighter jets flew close to Taiwan’s air defense identification zone. The air force said their anti-aircraft missile unit is highly trained and possesses advanced technologies. The unit is alert at all times and closely monitors the movements of enemy aircraft and able to react accordingly, the air force said.
